Story

Ellis Annan has cultivated a couple of acres of land into a beautiful park single handed providing accommodation and hospitality to travellers and volunteers visiting the area This offering can be viewed on Booking.com under Green Zion Garden Butre Ghana

Ellis' place was flooded last year which destroyed his buildings at Green Zion Garden, at Butre Beach, Ghana. The buildings and road to his place and the wooden bridge to walk to the village to the nearest food source, were also destroyed. The villagers stated they had never seen such a flood in Butre in their lifetimes. Floods came again this year. Global warming seems to have had the worst impact on people who consume the least on the world's resources. Ellis works on the land growing vegetables for his vegetarian restaurant and making a garden for tourists to enjoy, giving accommodation at the beach. The floods have now destroyed two of the buildings, his life's work. During covid, tourists left and the volunteers quickly followed them. No one came for two years, no government help, nothing. Just left to survive. A year later, the floods came. One thing after another, Ellis still keeps on planting and growing, but any help or donations would be gratefully received for the buildings and the infrastructure. The government has not adopted local infrastructure and remains in the hands of corrupt chiefs, so the road nor the bridge is likely to ever be repaired. Thank you for your kind support. Any donation would be greatly appreciated. One love x
