Bringing Christmas Back to Henley 🎄

Because no one should spend Christmas Day alone 💛

For many of us, Christmas Day means laughter, family and love.

But for some in our community, it can be the quietest and loneliest day of the year.

Last year, after a few years away, we brought the 🎅🏻 Henley Community Christmas Day Dinner 🤶🏻 back — and it was a huge success - ‘Jingle & Mingle’

The room was filled with laughter, friendship, music and warmth. People who might otherwise have spent Christmas Day alone were surrounded by company, kindness and a real sense of belonging.

It reminded us just how special this much-loved Henley tradition is.

So this year, we’re doing it all again. 🎄

Once again, we want to create a joyful and welcoming Christmas Day for local people who would otherwise spend it alone — a place to share food, friendship, laughter and, most importantly, human connection.

❤️ **What the Day Means**

This isn’t just a Christmas dinner.

It’s a day of connection, warmth and joy.

Guests and volunteers sit together around beautifully decorated tables, sharing a three-course Christmas meal, stories, laughter, music and company.

There’s entertainment, a quiz, presents from Santa and all the little touches that make Christmas feel special.

But the most important part of the day is simply making sure that nobody feels forgotten.

For some of our guests, Christmas Day may be one of the only times all year they are surrounded by people, conversation and friendship.

The day reminds them that they matter.

That they are remembered.

And that ‘Henley cares’ 💖

🎅 **Help Us Make It Happen Again**

This year, we are hoping to raise **£3,000** to make the Henley Community Christmas Day Dinner possible once again.

That will allow us to create the whole Christmas Day experience for around **100 local people** — bringing together everything needed to make the day warm, joyful and memorable.

We are entirely volunteer-run, and the generosity of our local community is what makes this wonderful day possible.

Every donation, whatever the amount, helps us give someone something incredibly valuable this Christmas:

**A place to go.

People to talk to.

A seat at the table.

And the knowledge that they are not alone.**
