Although I have already completed some amazing challenges in my life there are always more on the horizon.
For many years I thought I would like to do a Marathon, but had never really enjoyed long distance running. I also thought I'd like to do an Ironman, but if I did a Marathon first and didn't really enjoy it then I'd never attempt an Ironman. So I had the great idea of ticking off 2 boxes at once and attempt the Ironman which includes a Marathon.
Now after undertaking this massive challenge and having already put in a huge amount of training I've realised how tough this is going to be, I now want to combine this challenge with some worthwhile fun raising.
As many of you know my wife manages the children's ward at North Manchester General hospital and many times she tells me that although they do get some very generous people donating to them, due to the fact the children's hospital is just down the road a lot of people raise money for them. So what I would like to do is raise enough money to buy some mobile Sensory equipment which can be used by all children, whether they are Sensory impaired or just need some distraction.
