About me

My name is Iryna. I’m Ukrainian and I’m doing what I can to support communities affected by the war.

I am a co-founder of the VDOMA Volunteer Foundation in Kyiv, and the founder of Forever Lida Community Association in Birmingham, United Kingdom.

Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, I have been raising funds privately through friends, family and community networks to deliver humanitarian aid to Ukraine. Through these efforts we stay in close contact with volunteers and medical teams working in heavily affected regions.

Our goal

Together with the Forever Lida team, we are collecting humanitarian aid and raising funds to purchase this vehicle.

The pickup will be filled with essential supplies such as pet food and small bikes or scooters for Ukrainian children, and driven from the UK to Kyiv, where it will be donated to the VDOMA foundation.

Reliable vehicles are essential for humanitarian work in Ukraine. Volunteers often travel long distances on damaged roads to deliver food, medical supplies and other support to communities still affected by the war.

Why this vehicle is needed

One of the vehicles previously used by our Ukrainian volunteer partners was recently damaged by a mine while supporting humanitarian work in affected areas. Thankfully the crew was safe, but losing the vehicle has made their work significantly harder.

This fundraiser aims to replace that lost vehicle so volunteers can continue helping people in difficult-to-reach areas.

Where the vehicle will go

Once delivered to Kyiv, the pickup will be donated to the VDOMA Volunteer Foundation, a grassroots organisation coordinating humanitarian support for communities affected by the war.

The vehicle will be prepared and upgraded so it can handle the difficult conditions in areas close to the front line. Once ready, it will support evacuation teams delivering humanitarian supplies, transporting evacuees, and helping move wounded civilians from affected regions to safer areas of Ukraine.
