My son Isaac (in the profile picture) who is 11 years old will be cycling from Belfast to Newcastle on the 18th June to raise funds to help build a well in the rural Kitui region of Kenya.

The route selected will make this a 33 mile cycle through beautiful Co. Down. For 11 year old Isaac this is going to be a challenge, but its one that he dreamt up a year ago and he's determined to do it!

Isaacs Grandfather has a great friend who has lived in, and worked with rural communities in both Rwanda and rural Kitui County in Kenya for over 30 years. Through his contacts the money donated will pay for direct labour to construct the well. So far they have built many of these wells, but with less than 28 inches of rain each year and some people having to walk 60km in search of fresh water more wells are needed.
