    Story

So this little boy is my son he is 5 years old he has high functioning autism which means he struggles to communicate struggles to mingle and struggles going out to places due to it being overwelming and struggles with learning how to use potty. he's usually such a happy boy but he does have his moments when things just get to much he has a meltdown and this can last upto 12 hours sometimes. This meltdown can occur when trying to communicate because he's non verbal this can be one of the triggers for a meltdown This is where the working dog comes in the working dog will detect his stress and the need for things and help calm him giving him a companion and a well needed friend that will never judge him this will also give him slight independance. My son Isaac also has type 1 diabetes he injects insulin on regular basis and has his blood checked often. Major worry are the hypi and hypo comas he could go into. This is where the trained dog comes in he will be able to detect Isaac feeling tired sluggish and low and give us the sign that he's struggling before we even see it. He will also do the same when he's to high He will also sleep with him in his room during the night so this also doesn't occur making sure Isaac is ok. The reason for this is because yesterday we was rejected the funding for a working dog that we had been promised an evaluated and told he needs one. Via phone call we was then told Isaac funding had gone and that the government are making cut backs on working dogs and told us the only grant they can give is £1000 pounds and told us we had to find the rest. The total cost to train one of these dogs for Isaacs needs is £10,000. This was a major shock to us there's no way we would be able to find those funds to make our life's easier and most importantly Isaacs. So I took to Twitter I reached out with a poll that's still going and majority sed yes do a gofundme so here I am in hope that we can raise the money for him and for that whoever does donate I thank you. I have done many of fundraising before for National Autistic Society but never for my boy himself so I'm really hoping you guys can help me as I'm no where in the right place to raise those funds myself So thank you very much and I hope to here from you guys soon Much love Conor Gower aka The Alpha
