Story

As part of my second year Architecture studies I have been given a amazing opportunity to build a creche for over 79 children. The villages we work in are amongst the poorest in South Africa. We help the local pre-school teachers trained by the Thusanang Trust to have better facilities, with decent classrooms, a kitchen, office and toilet block. We often also provide a bore-hole for reliable water supply, and help with infrastructure for electricity.

The project is following on from the success of nine years of live-build projects for year 2 architecture students with our special tenth year project at Lesedi village in Limpopo South Africa. We will design, fund and build the school inside one academic year, in our unique Design Build Studio programme.

We spend 95% of the funds raised within 50km of the site, and ALL of your donation will go towards the actual construction project at Easter, buying materials, tools, fuel and paying the occasional local tradesmen who help us.

Please donate, we will spend your donation wisely and effectively!
