    Story

My name is Isabella Fassnidge and I am part of the Great British Skeleton team. My goal is to win gold at the 2026 Olympics in Milan Cortina. The training regime is full time, making it incredibly difficult to juggle with earning money. Therefore I am asking you to support me in my Olympic dream.

I got into skeleton through a selection process called Girls4Gold, where 300 hopefuls trialled to be a part of the team, after months of physical and mental tests 5 were selected into the team. This has now become 2. More information can be found here @https://www.thebbsa.co.uk/news-and-results/2020/girls-4-gold-squad-selected/

Prior to skeleton I represented Kent in netball and athletics. I was part of Tonbridge athletics club and Wealden netball team. Both of which led me to becoming the sportswomen I am today.

Currently, I race on the Europa circuit, and will be aiming for a medal at junior worlds this 2023/24 season. Last season I won bronze at the junior Europeans in my second ever international race, this was a milestone for me as I came into it having just recovered from a concussion and broken spine. It also showed that my determination and motivation to succeed in Skeleton had payed off; these are traits I will continue to have until I have a gold medal in my hand! I then went on to averaging 8th overall in the Europa cup.

Thankyou for taking the time to read this, I hope you can share International and Olympic glory with me in the years to come.

Thankyou for all the support so far! I am currently in Latvia for preseason. I have a selection race next week 😊 this is where team GB athletes race against each other to decide where we will compete for the rest of the season
