Story
On Sunday 28th April Isabella took her last breath after an eight and a half year battle against neuroblastoma. Our beautiful, courageous and fearless little girl, who despite what she went through, always had a smile on her face.
A big part of the reason for that smile was Acorns in Walsall. A place that Isabella loved to visit when she was well enough to be out of hospital and quickly became a second home to her. This is because of the wonderful building and what’s inside and more importantly the incredible and heartwarming staff and volunteers that make Acorns what it is, a safe haven full of joy and laughter and love. Their support over the years to Isabella and to us as parents has just been incredible and without them at this time we just dont know what we’d have done. Acorns only receive one third of their funding from the Government, so, to keep their doors open and their invaluable support ongoing donations ate always needed.
We will be celebrating Isabella’s short but incredible life on Thursday 23rd May. We would like to respectfully ask for family flowers only. If you did want to send flowers please could you donate here instead or on the day to Acorns who need our financial support more than ever. Isabella was such a kind and caring little girl, always wanting to help those that didn‘t have much or needed help and would love for us all to help Acorns in her name. Isabella is now resting at Acorns now and is still being well looked after by us and a bunch of people that loved her so very very much. She looks so beautiful and peaceful as she always has done whenever she walked through the front door.
