Asalam Alaikam My brothers and sisters.

Over the last couple of days, I've been reflecting on my life and how I'm so fortunate to see food on my table every iftar, and to eat without worry for my next meal.

The money I am raising for is for a family that's very close to my heart in a small village outside of Algeria. They live below the poverty line, and constatly struggle to meet basic needs, especially during this blessed month of Ramadan, where breaking their fast with bread and water is a luxury. The family of 5, whose parents have long term health issues, struggle to bring in a regular income therefore this month is extremely tough for them to bring in an income and feed their children, especially during this pandemic of Covid 19.

Living in London, I know the luxury we have of even being able to have the things we crave for iftar, without looking twice. The money that will be raised will be enought to support this family for the remainer of the month of Ramdan to have a warm meal when breaking their fast and enough for Suhoor insh'Allah. The money will also be used to cover basic necessties such as electricity and water.
