Isla Smith is six years old and lives with Dravet Syndrome (a sever form of epilepsy.) It is a life-long condition which affects Isla’s development and mobility. Isla suffers from severe seizures , some lasting up to 1 hour. She is growing up fast but as she grows she needs a bedroom which has everything she needs to make her comfortable, such as a hoist to get her in and out of bed and equipment to prevent her falling out of bed.

Thank you so much to all the caring people who have donated. We gave a concert on Friday night and a good time was had by all, raising another £350 to add to the total raised here. There is still a way to go but your generosity is much appreciated. Isla's father was able to be there on the night and gave his heartfelt thanks - her health is such a worry to them at this time of year. Merry Christmas and thank you for acting in the spirit of the season.

Hi Pat I know whatever amount we raise is going to a very worthwhile cause and I wish Isla and her family all the very best and hope and pray they get the money they need to do the adaptations.

I'm the Chair of a women's choir based in south Leeds. We are lucky to have the backing of the Leeds Community Foundation which has enabled us to give a Christmas concert. We are suggesting a donation of £2 for Isla from those attending. If you can't attend, can you help anyway?
