Story

🗺️🏃‍♀️ Help Us Raise £1,000 for Thrive Autism 💙

This September, two members of the ISLTS team, Lorna and Liesl, will be taking part in Race Across Norfolk 2026, a two-day charity challenge organised by Blackfriars Rotary and inspired by the BBC television series Race Across the World.

Armed with only an Ordnance Survey map, a basic mobile phone and a strict budget of £50, teams must navigate their way across Norfolk, complete challenges and reach secret checkpoints along the route. The challenge takes place over two days and is designed to test teamwork, resilience, problem-solving and determination—all while raising money for local charities.

💙 Why Thrive Autism?

Thrive Autism provides practical, compassionate support for autistic children, young people and their families across Norfolk and Waveney. Through advice, guidance, family support, respite opportunities and inclusive community activities, Thrive helps ensure that autistic young people feel understood, supported and able to thrive.

The charity is also working towards an ambitious vision of creating Norfolk's first dedicated Autism Centre, providing a central hub of support and resources for families across our region.

💙 Why ISLTS Supports Thrive Autism

At ISLTS, we have spent more than 30 years supporting autistic children, young people and adults, along with their families. Every day, we see the difference that understanding, acceptance and timely support can make.

We share Thrive Autism's commitment to creating a more inclusive community where autistic people and their families can access the support they need, when they need it. Their vision aligns closely with our own values, which is why we are proud to support this fundraising effort.

We would be incredibly grateful for any donation, however big or small. Every contribution will help support autistic children, young people and families across Norfolk and Waveney.

Thank you for your support. 💙
