I am raising money for the residents of Force, a small town in the Le Marche region of Italy that has been hit by 4 large earthquakes since August this year. The latest was 2 weeks ago, and was Italy's largest in 36 years.

People have been evacuated from their homes and are living in state-issued tents, and cannot return to their homes until Government inspectors deem them safe. Many people have lost their homes, and many many more are badly damaged. While the repair work is estimated to cost billions, help has been slow in coming.

So I want to raise money to help people stay safe and warm - either in rented accommodation, by buying them warm blankets and sleeping bags, and eventually contributing to help repair some of the damage to their homes. While I know I cant raise billions, I want to donate as much as I can to people who need help.

I spent the summer in the town of Force, full of the friendliest people I have ever met. And even after the August quake, people opened up their homes to help each other. Now the town has been hit, and everyone has had to leave.

Elderly people and children are sleeping in tents, and nobody knows when they can go back home. In the meantime, raising money to help this community would be a big step in the right direction.

Lets please try and help as many people as we can in returning home before the cold winter starts, maybe even in time for Christmas.
