I've raised £1000 to It Tastes Like Home - The Musical

We are the production team of "It Tastes Like Home - the Musical". We are currently putting on a 2 week performance at The Bread & Roses Theatre in October.
"It Tastes Like Home" is an intercultural musical which tells a romantic story between a Chinese-Jamaican interracial couple. It is a very few multicultural musicals which tell the authentic story of different cultures living in Britain.
Theatre-making is always expensive, but we feel the need to stage "It Tastes Like Home" as it is about love, food and bi-cultural identity. It tells story which is not often heard of yet surprisingly familiar and universal to everyone. Hence, we would appreciate your support and donation, to help us stage this exciting story.
When I was young, AM was Dumplings, PM was Fish and Chips. When I was Older, AM was plantain. PM walnut whip.
It Tastes Like Home is a romantic comedy musical set in London exploring a love story between 1st generation Jamaican, Camilla and Yi of Chinese descent. As their tentative relationship evolves, can they balance their two worlds of family, culture and values?
Backed by a soundtrack fused with Reggae and Chinese influences, this unique and feel-good multicultural musical explores what ‘home’ looks like when you come from another place and whether two cultures can ever really be in harmony when it comes to beliefs, identity and most importantly food.
Lyrics and Book by Lorna Wells and Music by Eudora Yutong Qiao, It Tastes Like Home returns to The Bread and Roses Theatre, from a sell-out Clapham Fringe 2017 season. It has a two-week run on October 16 – 27 and will be directed by Roman Berry.
