Please could you help me Supporting my London Marathon Run on 28th April.
I am raising funds to purchase vital medical equipment and onoing care for a little girl Ivy Reed, from Darwen.

Ivy was born on the 23rd of January 2018 and shortly after was admitted to ICU at Manchester Childrens Hospital. She was soon diagnosed with a rare genetic metabolic disorder called Propionic Acidemia.
Her condition is a metabolic disorder resulting in her body not being able to break down proteins in food.

For Ivy this means a life consisting of multiple hospital stays and daily medications and being fed by stomach tube on a 3 hourly basis day and night for the rest of her life. She also has to be careful in catching any bugs and viruses as this can result in her body going into crisis.
These attacks result in extremely high levels of ammonia in her blood which can cause swelling on the brain and damage to her nervous system and can lead to mental and physical disabilities. Since Ivy was diagnosed she has rarely gone longer than a few weeks before having an attack and a stay in hospital and emergency transfers to Manchester Childrens Hospital.
Recently on the 22nd of December she suffered a severe reaction to an unknown bug or virus which resulted in her being admitted to hospital and suffering focal seizures, stopping breathing twice and resuscitated both times, she was put in an induced coma and ventilated before being transported by a specialist team of nurses and doctors to ICU in Manchester.
As she has a lifelong condition all donations would help towards supporting this girl as she grows up.
