Hello I am Izzy. I am a year 10 student at Manor in York. At our school most of us are very lucky because we have a caring family and a safe home. We get to go to school every day to help us get a better future. At Casa Lumina in Romania, the children do not have those things that we just think of as normal.
As part of my course for the Archbishop of York trust, my class is going to Romania this May. I think it will make us all think differently about what we have at home.
We will be helping the children there in home and we will be carrying out a building project there to somehow improve it and make life a bit easier for those children. We will be helping them in school by providing books and learning equipment that we ask our mum's to go to Tesco for.
On Monday 11th of February it is my birthday and I would like all my birthday money this year to go to this cause. I will get gifts next year but they might not. On Tuesday 12th February I am going to try and swim 3 miles. That is about 100 lengths of the long course Yearsley 50m pool in York.
If you feel able to donate anything it would really make me happy. £1, £2 anything will help.
