Sadly a lot of this unusable crap ends up on ships headed for Africa. Additionally international corporatin flood African markets with single-use plastics while putting in zero funds to help deal with the environmtnal result. We hosted dedicated environmental activist Mathias Lyamunda when he was a rare Tanzanian delegate at Cop 26 in Glasgow. Mathias works with a charity called FEMAPO which among other things is working to reduce the amount of plastic waste that is leaching into the Tanzanian environment. Now he is a delegate to Zero Waste in Istanbul this week. Her needs financial help to attend - he has been invited and his transport and accommodation are paid for but he needs money for living expenses for himself and for his family while he is away from them.
