I'm raising £250 to help a Tanzanian delegate attend Zero Waste 26 in Istanbul

Story

Were you happy to imagine the plastic bottles you carefully sorted into the recylcng bin became a lovely park banch? Did you think that the polyester hotpants you bought fifteen years ago would be very useful to an African? Broken phones and e waste are an issue too. Sadly a lot of this unusable crap ends up on ships headed for Africa. Additionally international corporatin flood African markets with single-use plastics while putting in zero funds to help deal with the environmtnal result. We hosted dedicated environmental activist Mathias Lyamunda when he was a rare Tanzanian delegate at Cop 26 in Glasgow. Mathias works with a charity called FEMAPO which among other things is working to reduce the amount of plastic waste that is leaching into the Tanzanian environment. Now he is a delegate to Zero Waste in Istanbul this week. Her needs financial help to attend - he has been invited and his transport and accommodation are paid for but he needs money for living expenses for himself and for his family while he is away from them. Any help appreciated - no donation too small.
