Story
Hi all
Thank you for visiting my page and hopefully making a donation!
On Sunday 15th July I am completing the UK Ironman Championship in Bolton.
I am doing this in the memory of Dale Johnson who we sadly lost and it is for his family's chosen charity, the 'Youth Sport Trust.'
This charity helps people build a brighter future for themselves through sport. It provides them with not only a safe environment but also an educational one allowing them to progress and develop to fulfil their potential.
What can I tell you about Dale?
I wasn' t fortunate enough to grow up with Dale, we became friends in later life and it all started as strangers on a Stag Do to Ibiza. We were there for 4 days but after 2 days it was like we had known each other all our lives and became good friends from then on.
He was fun loving, hard working and very respectful; I can definitely see why Leanne married him! He loved a naked handstand and a strawberry dakari and didn't hesitate to order one when everyone was on the lagers! As a friend he was loyal, honest and supportive; the last conversation I had with him was about my ironman, he told me "mate, don't worry, you're unbreakable. Let me know and I'll join you for some cycling and running." A lot of people would say that to be nice but he was one of the very few who would take every step with you! That's the sort of guy we came to love and admire! I could speak about him all day but it wouldn't do him justice; he was one of the best and no one would ever disagree!
Together we share a Godson, the gorgeous GQP; to be asked and thought of as highly as you was, and will always be an honour!
We've had some great memories together, ones I'll never forget.
"Many people walk into our lives but only true friends leave footprints on our hearts."
I hope the money we raise can make a difference to others lives just like you did to all ours!
RIP Brother! X
