Story
The reason i am fundraising is to hopefully raise enough money to help out in the cost of the specialist surgeries that will
enable little Loui to have a better quality of life. I will be running the Brighton Half Marathon in aide of Loui.
Loui has Treacher-Collins syndrome and needs twenty-four hour care and has had, and will need, numerous operations throughout his life.
Loui has now had the medical estimates for his next major surgery, a sub-cranial rotation jaw distraction, which will have to take place in the Seattle Children’s Hospital, America. The cost is a whopping £214K. Through friends, family and enormous hard work by his parents Karly and Luke, they have raised over £86K so far, but still have the rest to find.
The surgery will allow Loui to do what most children and parents take for granted…….sleep a whole night on his own, breathe unaided (he has a trachy in place), speak, eat food, drink liquids, swim and importantly, not need 24 hour care. It would be life changing for Loui and his family need all the help they can get to raise the remaining £128K.
