I've raised £50000 to row solo from Europe to North America. The challenge will be a world-first and will cover 4,500 nautical miles across 100 days.

I am currently rowing the Atlantic Ocean completely unsupported.
This is something no one has ever done before, and I'm doing it all in an attempt to raise money for the incredible charity, brainstrust.
The whole journey is around 4,500 nautical miles, meaning I'm likely to be at sea, alone, for almost 100 days, rowing almost 50 miles every single day.
I chose brainstrust as it's a charity very close to my heart. My grandfather sadly passed away from a brain tumour in 2007 and he’s the inspiration for this challenge. Brain tumours can affect anyone at any age but kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other form of cancer. Despite this, just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this devastating disease.
Dr Helen Bulbeck, Founder and Director of Services and Policy for brainstrust, said: “We know the struggles that people who are living with a brain tumour have - isolation, uncertainty, fear, fatigue, behaviour and personality change to name a few. Sadly Jack understands these. We are humbled by the challenge that Jack is undertaking to support the brain cancer community. His efforts will help everyone who is living with a brain tumour to access support that will enable them to be people first, rather than patients. It is down to Jack that more people will be able to live their best possible day, in the face of their own challenges."
I want to say a huge thank you to all the support I've received so far, I really couldn't have got to this point without you all. Having said that, there is still a really long way to go as I want to smash my target and raise as much possible for this worthy cause, so if you could donate, no matter how big or small, it would be greatly appreciated it.
That's it from me for now and I'll see you all in March!
