We are utilising a crowd funding page rather than a charity support page as it is easier to then split the money between the two charities that we have chosen.

Firstly, we have selected the Darent Valley Special Baby Unit which helped to bring Jack into this world. Jack was a Special Baby born five weeks early, which in 1983 was a big deal. He was tiny weighing 4lb and the nurses and sisters at the unit, then at Queen Mary's in Sidcup, cared for mum and Jack until they were ready to leave hospital and come home.

Whilst we don't fully know what took Jack away from us, we are being told that there was a problem in his brain. Therefore we'd like to nominate Brain Research UK as the second charity. They use the money they bring in to give grants for research projects and to fund neuroscientists to shed some light on such a complex part of the body.
