    Story

    Hi All

Thank you for visiting this fundraising page for my brother in law, Mark Wealleans.

I'm not sure if many of you know this but in Sept 2016, after just a few weeks of tummy pain, Mark was given the horrific diagnosis of terminal cancer with a life expectancy of 6 months. This has utterly devastated all his family and friends and we are desperately trying to raise enough funds for potential life saving treatment at the Hallwang Clinic in Germany.

The treatment that Germany can offer is called immunotherapy which is tailored to the individuals genetic makeup and cancer mutation. This treatment is having incredible breakthroughs and is seeing previously "incurable" cancers going into complete remission. Unfortunately this treatment isn't available on the NHS.

After being told by his Doctors on Friday 28th Oct that his cancer is too advanced and palliative treatment is all they can offer, we are desperate for him to attend the Germany clinic for this potential life saving treatment. This could be he one and only chance of survival

His tumor tissue is currently been tested and analysed by the specialists over there with a view to commencing treatment on Monday 14th November 2016.

Therefore we are asking with the biggest amount of gratitude and thanks for any donation, big or small to help send him over to Germany.

We know the target is massive and requires a lot of kindness from as many well wishers as possible, but honestly every penny makes that mountain easier to climb.

He is a massive, massive Chrystal Palace fan and in general footy mad so please think of him and buy him a virtual drink whenever a game is on by donating the price of a pint to this page

As Mark would say, "still in the game".......................our aim is to keep him in it

Much love and eternal gratitude for taking the time to read this and for any donations received, Cant begin to tell you how much this means to us all & wife, 4 kids 2 grandchilden xxxx

We have extended the closing date to the max allow by the site. This is because of the rising costs of his treatment. After his first visit to Germany in Nov, upon his return he was refused treatment on the NHS which has been detrimental to his health & he has had no choice but to go back again & again to Germany for treatment that IS available on the NHS. He has a very young family, 2 boys still in high school that will be scarred for the rest of their lives if we don't do all that we can. So please I beg to please keep sharing and giving

Hi I'm Jackie, Mark's sis-in-law. Mark is a much loved, fun loving & family guy who at 49yrs old certainly doesn't deserve to be in this position. He has a young family at school who will be traumatised if we don't fight our hardest to help him beat this horrible cancer xx
