Each age group in the hockey club has been given a target of £2500 to raise towards the cost of the new pitch project. This equates to approximately £65 per girl in the U12s. This is a very worthy cause that will transform the facilities for all our girls.

In order to help us get to this goal we think that it would be only fitting for the girls to say an energetic ‘goodbye’ to the old OCs pitch with a ‘Sponsored Dribble’ to be held at the Club Social on Saturday 16th June. The bar will be open and there will be a fun filled day of activities and the chance to meet up with friends from the club. Girls can be sponsored for the number of times they can go round the pitch or how long they can keep the ball moving or we will allow a bit of family competition in a Dads / Mums v daughters dribble-a-thon. Get you sticks out and gum shields on!

The most important thing is that we need every girl in the OCs U12s to get involved somehow to help us reach the £2,500.

If you aren’t around on the 16th it’s not a problem: maybe you know another girl in the group that you could sponsor instead or maybe you would prefer to make a simple, but very welcome, donation. All contributions are gratefully received. If we all get involved we should reach our target.
