My beautiful friend Jackie Thom lost her husband George in March this year to cancer. In the past year or so she also lost her brother Chuck.
Jackie is the most kindest easy going lovely caring person I know. She has so much to give to others and often forgets about herself.
She is so like George her husband. Both have the care, compassion and understanding of life's difficulties to spend there time making sure everyone around them is OK.
A year ago the asked Georges dad 'auld George' to move in with them due to his poor health.
George had fought many years of cancer and may I say in the most stoic way I have ever seen. He brought so much to other people lives due to his huge caring personality.
He proves you should never judge a book by its cover. Mohawks rule.
Jackie & her family never imagined George would leave them so early.
Many a night Jackie would come to my house and we would put the world to rights.
We had applied to Garden DIY SOS to ask to be considered. 
George sadly passed and this has left Jackie, Ailish and Auld George devastated.
Jackie always spoke about how she would like her garden to be a place George and her could spend time chilling as the didn't know how long they had left together.
I would like Jackie to have that special garden. The road ahead is gonna be tough and i feel that if we could contribute to making this happen then it will be a small part filled in her heavy heart.
I've not really spoken about George, but after seeing his send off, I am privileged to have known him. He was a fabulous musician.. playing for the Gimme gimme gimmes and fiery Jack and more.
