Story
This year we are raising money for a cause of little Jacks choice.
Our good friends the Johnsons whose Son Jack (pictured) was diagnosed with rhabdomyosarcoma, a rare form of childhood cancer. Jack was diagnosed in 2020 when he was just 8 years old and responded well to first line treatment. However in 2022 the cancer returned. He is still battling against this and his bravery and fighting spirit is truly unbelievable.
To help raise some money we have called on the footballing community again after last years amazingly successful event.
We again have a team full of ex East Leeds players / “legends” to play off against the current East Leeds team on Saturday 1st of June at East End Park. The current team will be looking to get revenge after last years defeat!!
Jack who is football mad will be mascot on the day and I’m sure may even get a cameo appearance in to show the boys how it’s done!!
The idea was that the majority of the money would be raised by the brilliant ex players / current players who have come together for this day. However last year everyone was so supportive donating and sharing it everywhere that we blew our target of £500 out of the water and amassed over £4000. If we can get anywhere near that again we would be delighted.
Any donations no matter how small will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance and lots of love x
