Story
My name is Jack Phillips and I am one of the Explorer Scouts fortunate enough to get selected to go to America for the World Scout Jamboree in 2019. I have been in scouting nine years, since joining Beavers at the age of six and going all the way through Cubs and Scouts. The trip to America means the world to me, and so I have made plans to undertake the London to Brighton bike ride this year. It is something that I have wished to take on for a long time now, it turns out I just needed the extra push. As well as this there will most definitely be a quiz night run later in the year in order to raise further funds, as well as other jobs and activities.

6 years agoThank you to everyone who has donated so far. I have now done the London to Brighton bike ride. It was hard going, and I completed it in five and a half hours. I also did a cake sale at 3rd Banstead Scouts family camp. Everyone was really generous and I raised just over £130, including some of my jamboree unit badges that I sold to the cubs and scouts at camp. Next up is a quiz night I am planning to hold later in the year.
