Story

Jack's Mum, Michelle, was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2015 and, following a double mastectomy, underwent over 12 months of gruelling treatment. Sadly, in the latter part of 2018, the cancer returned and very quickly spread through her bones and many organs. Despite constant pain, radical surgery on her spine, numerous different chemotherapy treatments, each time facing the oncologist with hope and each time finding the cancer had continued to spread, Michelle never complained. She continued to fight and pushed herself to ensure that her son, Jack, had as many possible memories as she could provide. On August 9th, Michelle's top wish came true as she married Jack's Dad - her log term partner and soul mate, Mark. Tragically, weeks later, Michelle passed away at her sisters home where she and Jack had been living following several bad falls in March.

Jack has recently turned 15 and is in his final year of GCSEs at Clevedon school. He has aspirations to complete his A Levels and continue his Education at University.

Michelle had a long list of things she wanted to do; places she wanted to visit and experiences she wanted to have. With her health deteriorating, she was unable to travel abroad but instead had many special holidays with her family which have given Mark, Jack and her extended family some wonderful memories.

Many of Michelle's friends and family have asked if they can continue to donate to either a fund for Jack's education or just to ensure that he can continue to experience some of the things he and his Mum had talked about; visiting his Uncle in Australia and going to Kangaroo Island, one of Michelle's favourite places (where they went when Jack was just 4) or taking a trip to go Whale Watching - something Michelle longed to do.

Any funds donated will be kept in a separate account and invested with both his Dad and Aunty having oversight over how they are spent. Thank you so much if you feel you would like to contribute.
