Story
Jack is 2 years old and has two rare syndromes: Kleefstra Syndrome And Goldenhar syndrome. This means he has learning disabilities, developmental delay, is non verbal, has feeding difficulties and needs to wear glasses. We were initially told Jack wouldn't walk, talk or feed. Since his diagnosis last year we have been working hard with Portage to help Jack develop to the best of his ability. Portage help many children by coming to their home and showing them how to develop a certain skill such as playing with a toy or teaching them to sign. They are massively under resourced and have lots of children needing their help. We want to say thank you to them by raising money to help them buy the toys and resources that they need to be able to help more children.
On 17th September it is Kleefstra awareness day and we would like you to wear something purple that day to help raise awareness for Kleefstra Syndrome and donate a pound or two to help us to say thank you to Portage for all that they do to help children like Jack.
