Jack is an active 14 year old boy, living with his parents and younger sister who attends school im Gloucester. Jack has recently been diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia (philadelphia positive). He is currently receiving intensive chemotherapy and blood transfusions which involves lengthy stays in hospital.

Jacks story is close to our hearts as we work together to support our friend and colleague as she puts her career on hold to care for her acutely unwell son through his fight.

I ask you how many of us have a Jack out there? As nurses we are all too aware how life changes in an instant.
