I'm raising £1,000 to participate in a volunteering expedition to Borneo with Camps International.

In 2027, I will be travelling to Borneo for four weeks as part of Camp International’s Ethical Journeys programme. This expedition focuses on sustainable development, conservation, and cultural exchange, and I’m incredibly proud to be involved.

While in Borneo, I will be living off-grid in rural communities, experiencing a completely different way of life. I’ll be working closely with local people to support projects that make a real and lasting difference.

The trip is split into different periods

- community development; time spent doing building or repair work to make a lasting difference to the communities we stay with

- protecting the environment; supporting reforestation initiatives, and wildlife protection schemes, in the Borneo Rainforests

- skills; learning to scuba dive off the Borneo coast
