I am doing this on behalf of my very good friend named Mary Read and this is her request which she hopes that you can help her.

My name is Mary Read and I am now 68 years old. Last February 1st 2017, Clifford Reginald Read, my beloved husband passed away after a long illness aged 76 years. His funeral took place on 21st February 2017 and he is buried in a local churchyard grave in Nursling near Southampton. When my time comes, I will be buried with my dear Clifford.

I did struggle to pay Clifford’s funeral costs which were met through what little savings that I had at that time together with the selling of his car as well as some of his effects. As his grave has now settled and stabilised, so I would like to be able to have a headstone made up in his memory together with possibly a grave surround. The cost of the headstone and the grave surround will come to approximately £3,000.

As I still work at a local school every weekday morning but saving up to pay for his headstone and grave surround will be a very big struggle for me, so I would very much appreciate any help in raising the funds needed to enable the purchase and installation of the headstone and grave surround dedicated to the memory of my dearly beloved Clifford please.
