OYAP Trust is an award-winning youth arts charity that has been working across Oxfordshire for 20 years. Their creative learning projects aim to improve life chances through using the arts and creativity to encourage young people to be the best they can be despite any obstacles they may face. Their artists and volunteers have worked with over 20,000 young people in Oxfordshire, providing over 30,000 opportunities for learning in the past ten years, especially for the most marginalised and vulnerable young people.

OYAP Trust is currently converting a derelict Victorian School into a centre of excellence for youth arts in North Oxfordshire, and they are developing more youth action teams, giving young people the chance to plan their own cultural projects for their communities that will make a real difference, and which are Creative, Visible and Kind.

My reason for supporting this charity:

Our beloved son Louis was a freelance photographer who loved to travel, he tragically died in a road traffic accident in Peru. Louis loved the arts and spent his life expressing his design, passion and creative eye through photography.

His close friends all agreed that they had been given lots of opportunities and decided that the work of OYAP in investing in youngsters would be a positive memorial to Louis.
We were able to fund a very successful OYAP programme here at the local secondary school and would like to be able to do more.
