Round the Island Race:

6 transplants,  1 surgeon, sailing out of Southampton - the Isle of Wight, to take part in the RTIR 2019, to raise awareness of 'Organ Donation' and  Transplantation,'
After a successful campaign for World Kidney Day 2019   (March 14th) , when  we went out into Soton Water in a F8, with an ITV Meridian film crew and gave a BBC radio interview that morning, we now plan to continue showing our success as Transplant recipients, enjoying our freedom and zest for life by entering the RTIR 2019. We also hope to gain sponsorship to the tune of £4,500.
With my actual surgeon onboard and June 29th, Race Day, being the 2nd anniversary of my 2nd Transplant, there will be plenty to celebrate that evening!
We want to show that we are not only successful but that we are grateful, to our donors, their families, our surgeons and Renal teams, for giving us the freedom to take on this challenge.
