Story
WHH Charity Manager, Helen Higginson, shared with me the hospital’s vision to continually provide additional comforts, care and experiences for the direct benefit of patients and their families beyond that which the NHS provide; part of this vision would be aimed towards their young patients. The chance to be able to offer each child the opportunity to pick up a book and read an adventure story or educational book whilst within the hospital’s care would really mean the world to them and, with your help and support, we can achieve this…
How? Usborne Books at Home, the publisher of quality books for children of all ages, are working with WHH Charity, our local community and local businesses to fulfil our vision for the children. With your support our Community Pledge has the possibility to reach great heights - we would like to raise £1,000 over a two month period! Although at that point, whatever funding we have raised will be further supported by Usborne Books themselves who have generously pledged additional donation of books; for example, should we reach our target, they will donate £600 worth of additional books bringing the grand total to £1,600 worth of books all for the young people visiting WHH Trust.
