I have type one diabetes, and have been told that I would benefit from a Dexcom blood glucose monitoring system, however have been told that I would have to fund this myself due to lack of NHS funding.

I am also looking into the possibility of self-funding a pump to improve my diabetes control, however have been told that there is a long waiting list, and that I would have to self-fund this for the time being, until I can receive NHS funding.

I would also benefit from being able to pay for a carer to support me to hospital appointments.

Any left over funds will be donated to Diabetes research :)
