I'm a 20 year old girl with complex medical conditions who it's trying to raise funds for a new lightweight self propelling wheelchair and IV pole.Life is very difficult at present as I currently have a heavy wheelchair which means I heavily rely on my mum to push me in it but I would like to gain independence and be able to wheel myself. Due to my illnesses I have relied on a wheelchair to get about. Having a new wheelchair will also help my pressure sores as my current wheelchair is not suited to my needs.
Due to my illnesses I'm fed into my jejenum using a PEGJ as my stomach doesn't tolerate anything. This results in me been connected to a feeding pump 24hrs a day. I'm struggle to carry the pump round the house in its back pack and rely on my mum to carry it everywhere, having a IV pole will make a massive difference to my life , as it means I will be able to wheel my feed around the house and be able to get out into the garden.

Despite all my own problems I'm determined to support others and I spend my days writing letters to people with similar chronic illnesses to help support them and encourage them to keep fighting.
