Story
My beautiful little girl is just 4 years old, and every day she faces challenges that most children will thankfully never have to experience. She lives with autism, pica,1 kidney and currently waiting to be tested for epilepsy and she is also non verbal. which means the world can be a confusing and sometimes unsafe place for her. Because of her disabilities, she is unable to recognise danger or keep herself safe, and she needs constant care, supervision, and support.
As her parent, our greatest wish is simply to keep her safe, comfortable, and protected.
Right now, one of my biggest concerns is making sure she has a secure space where she can rest and regulate safely. Due to her complex needs, a standard bed is not safe for her. She urgently needs a specialist medical safety bed that can be placed in her sensory room — a calm environment designed to help her feel secure. This bed would provide a protected space where she can sleep, relax, and regulate without the risk of hurting herself, giving her the safety she deserves and giving us peace of mind as her parents.
I have tried every avenue available to us to make this happen. I have reached out to charities, funding organisations, and support services, hoping to secure the equipment she desperately needs. Sadly, despite our efforts, these applications have not been successful so far.
Asking for help is not easy, but I am doing it because my daughter’s safety means everything to us.
If you are able to donate, even the smallest amount, it will bring us one step closer to giving our little girl the safe, secure space she so desperately needs. Every single contribution will make a real difference to her life and wellbeing.
From the bottom of our hearts, we want to say thank you to anyone who takes the time to read our story, share it, or support us. Your kindness and generosity mean more than words could ever express, and we will be eternally grateful to the kind-hearted people who help our daughter feel safe.
