My story started at 20 starting life at university to become an Occupational Therapist .I was suddenly told i had gone into early menopause . I was told i had no viable eggs and would require an egg donor and IVF .10 years later after marrying my husband jon, secured nhs funding in december 2016. In 2017 we were matched with 3 unknown donors which fell through as one was unable to commit , one fell pregnant and another decided not to donate, everytime this happened the dream of having a baby felt like it was slowely slipping away. Then a lady was a perfect match. April 2018 she kindly donated her eggs two days after my 30th birthday we had 13 embryos two made it one fresh and one frostie.First transfer april 2018 then the 2 week wait and my first ever positive pregnancy test we were over the moon but cautiously excited. Then we miscarried at 8 weeks . We then waited 3 months to transfer our frostie,I miscarried again at 6 weeks. we were devastated . I imagined my life with my little dots,what they looked like , what school they would go to, i imagined the nursery and sitting staring at the cot imagining a baby behind the cot bars and introducing my furbabies to the new addition.To start the next chapter we need to raise some pennies . Our nhs funding has finished so we are now looking at privately funding the next cycle.We have to source another egg donor which costs £4,000 and a another round of IVF would cost £5,000. We have set the initial target at £9,000 .We understand this is alot of money and that money is hard to come by. I also rearlise that through working in the nhs for over 6 years their are lots of cuts to funding and alot of other causes that need support so this is as much about raising awareness of infertility and miscarriage aswell as potentially raising money.We will give back what we can in kindness and gratitude and hopefully in the future our rainbow baby.Thankyou again for having time to read our story
