How does this work?
You donate £5 to feed a family of 5. We buy the ingredients and cook a healthy traditional meal to individuals and families in crisis, delivered by our dedicated team of volunteers.
A gift of £20 will feed a family for 4 weeks
A gift of £40 will feed a family for 8 weeks
A gift of £50 will provide 25 meals per week
Why is this service needed?
The covid-19 pandemic means that families below the poverty line are in crisis. Many are suffering from isolation, loneliness and severe mental health problems. And limited incomes mean buying fresh food is a huge struggle.
Together we can provide over 150 meals per week to individuals living in desperate circumstances.
WHY WE DO WHAT WE DO.
While food banks are a lifeline for many households because of furloughing and loss of income, families need some extra help because of the rising cost of essential food items and limited incomes in the coming months, the uncertainty of how individuals will manage financially is a huge worry for many.
