Story

* With a heavy heart, we have to inform you all that Daisy passed away peacefully in her sleep on 17th September 2019. This means that all your generous donations will be donated to Sarcoma UK *

On Saturday 19th October 2019, we will be starting the 24 hour timer and commencing the first climb up Ben Nevis which stands at, 1,344 metres, or 4,409 ft. The tallest of the three!

From there the expedition will drive south into the Lake District where we climb Scafell Pike (978 m, 3,209 ft).

The final of the three is the Welsh mountain, Snowdon, standing at no less than 1,085 m, 3,560 ft.

All monies raised will be donated to Daisy Ellis, to fund a potentially life-saving treatment!

When Daisy was 21 and had just finished her second year of uni to become a primary school teacher she was diagnosed with an incredibly rare and aggressive cancer called Alveolar Rhabdomyosarcoma, stage 4. The symptoms were so minimal (agonising back and leg pain) it had made its way around her entire body by the time she was diagnosed.

Since then she has undergone over 20 cycles of chemotherapy, 50 sessions of radiotherapy and numerous operations to try and stabilise the disease. She has now stopped responding to treatment to sarcoma and she now may have the opportunity to potentially save her life with a trial drug from the USA. Should she not be well enough to proceed any money raised will be donated to Sarcoma UK.

Daisy is an incredible and inspiring person. With everything going on in her life everyday she is kind, considerate and selfless. She has already done so much for Sarcoma awareness and has supported huge amounts of complete strangers that follow her story. At still only 23 she should have graduated last year and should be starting as a teacher where she would have inspired and taught the next generation. This treatment can potentially save her life or prolong it enough to have a better quality of life where she can still follow her dreams and be a happy 23 year old.

All donations received will be paid over to Daisy Ellis
