I've raised £2000 to support KYGN School in Moshi (Tanzania) by climbing Mt Kilimanjaro this September!!!

Hi all and thank you so much for taking the time to read our page!
My dear friend Laura and I have taken on the challenge to climb Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa's highest peak (5,895 m), the last week of September 2018 in order to raise funds for Kilimanjaro Young Girls in Need.
As well as this, I am also volunteering with KYGN in the school & hospital in Moshi (Tanzania) throughout the month of September. This work will hopefully make a real difference for the children of the area.
The climb will take six days and is going to be a massive physical and mental challenge for us. We're taking on the biggest free-standing mountain in THE WORLD!
Part of the donations given here, will help to fund the cost of our climbing; an amount that will mainly go the porters who carry our bags up the mountain as well as guides & cooks. The porters can climb Kilimanjaro in anything from flip flops to light fleece. All of them are often left with no option but to work in dangerous conditions to earn money for their families and survival.
Kilimanjaro Young Girls in Need is a Tanzanian Non-Government Organization, whose aim is to improve the opportunities of young girls in the Kilimanjaro Region. What started as a small community project is now a registered school; providing education, health care and safe house accommodation to some of the most disadvantaged children in Tanzania.
Please, any donation, large or small is massively appreciated and can make a big impact.
£10.00 buys a child all the books and materials needed for a school year
£15.00 buys every child at school lunch for a day
£20.00 lights up the school with solar power for a week
£25.00 pays a teacher's salary for a week
Please help us embark on this once in a lifetime adventure and keep KYGN doing their amazing work.
Thanks for the support.
