Story
Life isn't measured in minutes, but in heartbeats ❤️❤️❤️
Jake is raising money this summer in memory of his Grandad Roberts. The money will be split with half going towards providing a defibrillator for Salford Children's Holiday Camp in Prestatyn and the other half going to Wythenshawe Hospital Transplant Unit. Jake's Grandad was cared for here when he had a heart transplant, without which he would have never had the chance to become a Grandad, a role which he absolutely loved and the boys brought him so much joy. Salford Children's Holiday Camp has many different groups who stay there from schools to scouting groups to sports teams as well as a weekly cafe attended by some of the local community. They want to be able to provide a defibrillator so that if a situation ever arose they could help to save a life.
With the fundraising being for 2 heart related causes, Jake will be pledging to take part in at least 15mins of cardio exercise everyday of his summer holidays (this will be in additon to his normal weekly activities). This will be a range of different activities such as bleep test, football, running, swimming and circuit style exercises.
