Jake’s Big Snowdon Climb: A Year 2 Thank You!
Thank you for visiting Jake's page! At just 6 years old, Jake is gearing up for the biggest adventure of his life so far.
Mark your calendars because on Tuesday 26th May 2026, he is lacing up his hiking boots and taking on Snowdon (Yr Wyddfa) - the highest mountain in Wales at a staggering 1,085 meters!
That is a massive challenge for an adult, let alone for a pair of six-year-old legs. But Jake has a very special motivation driving him up that mountain.
Jake is currently in Year 2, which means his time at Telford Infant School in Cubbington is sadly coming to an end this school year. He has absolutely loved his time here - making best friends, learning so much, and being supported by the most wonderful teachers and staff.
As a massive "THANK YOU" for everything the school has done for him over the last few years, Jake wanted to do something unforgettable before he leaves. He wants to raise money to give the school an amazing parting gift so that the future reception and KS1 children can enjoy it just as much as he did.
Where will the money go?
Every penny Jake raises will go directly to Telford Infant School as a graduation gift from him.
The Challenge Ahead
Snowdon is notorious for unpredictable weather, steep paths, and rocky terrain. It’s going to take a lot of determination, plenty of snacks (especially Haribo!), and some serious willpower. Jake has been practicing his walking and is incredibly excited to reach the summit to celebrate his school graduation in style.
How you can help
With Tuesday 26th May just around the corner, let’s help Jake give Telford Infant School the ultimate send-off gift!
If you can, please consider:
Making a donation: No amount is too small! Every single pound will spur Jake on when his legs get tired.
Sharing this page: Please share Jake’s journey with friends, family, and the Leamington Spa community to help spread the word before the big day.
Thank you so much for your amazing support and generosity. Go get 'em, Jake - finish Year 2 on a literal high!
