Story

Jake was very lucky to have one man donate his trip money to him and now he would like to pass this opportunity to the other students within the school that are struggling to get the money together. Jake's story is below. He still has some to raise for himself for injections and equipment but he wants the rest of the students to be able to go also and without your help they will not be able to do that.

The other day while I was in school I was presented with a opportunity to help other people in a country that is not as fortunate as us; Tanzania. They said that while we are there we will be helping the local community with their lives, to improve them. It makes me feel terrible when I think that the cure for a disease ,that has no cure, might be in the mind of someone that hasn't got a proper education. It also makes me upset when I think about the fact when we are thirsty, we can just turn on the tap to get fresh water but they have to walk miles just to get a bucket of dirty water. Because of this I have decided that I want to go to Tanzania to help all of those people by building them houses and water pumps, teaching them to read and write, and help them cook. But I do get something out of it as well because I have always wanted to learn a language that isnt being provided in our curriculum and while I am there they will be teaching me Swahili.
