Story

Hi everyone and thank you for visiting my page

My name is James and in July 2020 I will be going on a 2 week expedition with Operation Wallacea to South Africa to carry out volunteer conservation work in Dinokeng game reserve and at Sodwana Bay were I will be studying reef ecology. This is a self funded voluntary project, but one I am extremely passionate about especially as I aspire to become a marine biologist

Operation Wallacea (Opwall) is a conservation research organisation that is funded by, and relies on, teams of student volunteers who join expeditions for the opportunity to work on real-world research programmes alongside academic researchers.

To be involved in this exciting and important research I have to raise £2,700. All the money required not only helps with the cost of the trip but part of it will go to the charity The Wallacea Trust. This helps to enable them to continue there amazing environmental conservation work.

If you would like to know more about this project and the research that I will be involved with please click on this link https://www.opwall.com/expeditions/school-expedition/south-africa/

I have only just started my fundraising efforts but so far I have been doing lots of jobs around the home such as cleaning out the gutters on Mums shop and cutting the grass. I have a long way to go and any donations would be gratefully appreciated!
