Story
The Markham Main Memorial Garden in Armthorpe Doncaster is a tribute to the men and women that worked at the pit from 1920 to 1996.
The icing on the cake would be to have a permanent reminder in the form of a sculpture of a miner, situated in the Miners Memorial Garden for all, old and young to see and admire for many years to come. Armthorpe's community is very proud of it's mining heritage.
So this would be a fitting way to remember those that worked at the pit, please help us to honour them all.
