As many of you will know, it costs a lot to keep a football team running every year and it's a hard task getting sponsorship to cover all the costs that you encounter over the season - new kit, laundry, booking parks...I could go on!

I want to do my part to help my team and my club gather in some funds to help us meet out running costs and see us through the winter months of paying for our winter training bookings which do not come cheap.

As someone who has had to give up playing competitive football due to 2 knee operations it's been a long road for me getting back to trying to get myself back into some form of fitness. I've done that by getting into running and I'm now at a point where I have signed up for my first (of many,hopefully) 10K runs at the Edinburgh Men's 10K on Sunday 6 November.

So I'm putting myself out there to try and raise some funds for my team by taking on this run and looking for support from anybody who would like to help out. My friend and fellow Thistle player/manager/coach Dougie Pettigrew is also taking part in the run and we would be massively grateful for your support!
