I've raised £250 to raise funds for West Wight Sports and Community Centre

As many of you know, like a hero I completed the Solent Swim on 2nd September in aid of the West Wight Sports and Community Centre. I am setting up this page as a (hopefully!) easy way to collect the sponsorship money that all you lovely people pledged back when I signed up for this challenge.
It was a challenge on many levels; firstly a physical one in a bid to regain a figure like The Hoff at his peak, and secondly the fear that I might get eaten by a shark, particularly after all the hearsay that there has been a Great White spotted in the Solent!
Aside from that though, this is a very deserving cause that is close to my heart. The West Wight Sports Centre is my local sports centre and is entirely charity run. The staff there do a fantastic job and always provide a friendly welcome, with the lifeguards always encouraging and happy to share their swimming tips but most importantly teaching the next generation to swim. Having suffered injuries in the past, I have personally found swimming to be the best cure and can often be found splashing around at the West Wight and even getting the lifeguards to score my diving skills!
This is their biggest fundraising event of the year and I hope that you can all give generously to support this fantastic charity run facility and ensure its continuing survival and role in our community.
Thank you for all your support!
