Story
There are millions of people who battle from anxiety, depression and addiction and so many families are effected. My close family and friends know that I have spent 12 years battling with anxiety and depression and I would use alcohol as a coping mechanism to cope with life, until it stopped working for me. My alcoholism hurt so many people and put me in so many mad situations that I never thought I would end up in. Towards the end of my drinking career those situations got worse and I was at a point of nearly losing everything, through my alcohol addiction.
A friend introduced me to a fantastic charity called The Living Room. They are based in Cardiff and support people with all forms of addictions. I am just extremely grateful to The Living Room, who's website is https://www.livingroom-cardiff.com, for giving me the strength and hope to change my life and turn it all around. Without The Living Room I would never be where I am today.
On the 7th September 2018 I would have completed my first year sober. I would‘nt have been able to do this without the help and support from The Living Room. To celebrate this achievement, I am going to do a Skydive. I hope to raise lot’s of money for this fantastic charity so they can continue the amazing work they do and help many others with their addictions in the way they have helped me.
