Story

Jack was diagnosed with medullary thyroid cancer in November 2015 when he was 13, resulting in having to have an emergency tracheostomy at Nottingham Queen's Medical Centre. After a long brave battle Jack tragically lost his battle on the 29th of November 2021.

Jack was one of the Imps’ most passionate supporters and was memorably given the honour of leading the teams out ahead of the 2018 EFL Trophy final between City and Shrewsbury Town at Wembley.

Tributes have flooded in for the young man demontrating just how loved he was:

“Everyone at Lincoln City Football Club is sad to learn of the sudden passing of Imps fan Jack Nottingham,”

“The thoughts of everybody at the club are with Jack’s family and friends at this difficult time”

“Rest in peace, Jack.” Lincoln City FC

Danny Cowley, the Imps' manager that day at Wembley

"I am so, so sorry to hear this news. Jack was such an inspiration. He had so much go against him in his short life, yet he made the most of every single day. Always with a smile. Rest easy my friend."

This fund is for the family of Jack as a gesture to at least attempt to help in some way. Awfully sad occasions like this certainly put things in perspective but also show how loving and caring the football community can be.

RIP Jack, one of our own 🔴⚪️🔴
